Step-by-step

  1. Create Your Design

Design in Canva, Illustrator, Word or similar. Use at least 300 DPI. Arrange multiple stickers on a letter or A4 page with spacing. For Cricut or Silhouette, follow their “Print Then Cut” template rules (they add registration marks).

  2. Choose the Right Sticker Paper

Matte or glossy sticker paper for indoor use; printable vinyl for durable or water-resistant stickers. Confirm the package says it works with your printer (inkjet vs. laser).

  3. Prepare the Printer

Load the sticker paper with the printable side facing the print head (check the package). Settings: highest quality; choose “Photo Paper”, “Glossy” or “Matte” to match your paper; make sure the paper size matches.

  4. Do a Test Print

Print one sheet on regular paper first to check sizing, colors and alignment. Adjust, then print on the sticker paper.

  5. Let It Dry

Wait 10–15 minutes, longer for glossy paper, before touching or cutting.

  6. Cut the Stickers

By hand with scissors or a craft knife, or load into a Cricut or Silhouette and use Print Then Cut. Optional: round the corners with a corner punch.

  7. Add Protection (Optional)

Apply clear self-adhesive laminate over the stickers for water and scratch resistance, then trim it with the stickers.

  8. Finish

Peel and stick. Store unused sheets flat in a cool, dry place.

Quick tips

  • Always test one sheet before printing a big batch.
  • Pigment-based inks hold up better against water than dye-based inks.
  • Vinyl + laminate works best for water bottles, laptops or outdoor use.
  • For simple labels, thermal label printers (Brother, Dymo, etc.) are an alternative, but they’re limited for full-color designs.
